미국의 PC·서버 제조업체인 델 테크놀로지(델) 주가가 오랜만에 날았다. 인공지능(AI) 열풍을 타고 하루 만에 30% 넘게 급등했다. 그 영향으로 AI 반도체 기업들의 주가가 동반 상승하며 엔비디아 시가총액이 처음으로 종가 기준 2조달러(약 2672조원)를 넘어섰다.지난 1일(현지시간) 뉴욕 증시에서 델 주가는 전장보다 31.62% 오른 124.59달러에 마감했다. 장중에는 131.06달러까지 올라 52주 신고가를 새로 썼다.미 경제매체 CNBC에 따르면 델은 2013년 기업을 비공개로 전환했다가 2018년 주식 시장에 다시 상장했는데, 거래를 재개할 당시의 시가총액은 약 160억달러(약 21조3760억원)였다. 이날 종가 기준 시가총액은 880억달러(약 117조5680억원) 수준으로 불었다.이날 주가 폭등에는 전날 발표된 이 회사의 분기 실적에서 AI 관련 매출이 급증한 점이 작용했다. 회사 측은 AI에 최적화된 서버가 49억달러(6조5464억원)의 매출을 기록했다고 밝혔다. 제프 클라크 최고운영책임자(COO)는 "AI에 최적화된 강력한 서버 모멘텀이 지속되고 있으며, 주문은 전년 대비 40% 가까이 증가하고 있다"고 말했다.모건스탠리 애널리스트들은 이날 델을 '최고 추천주'(top pick)으로 선정하고 목표주가를 100달러에서 128달러로 올렸다. 이들은 "AI 서버 주문, 수주 잔고 등의 강점은 델의 AI 이야기가 이제 시작이며모멘텀을 맞이하고 있음을 보여준다"고 평가했다. 웰스파고 역시 델의 목표주가를 140달러로 올리고 '비중 확대'를 제시했다.

델이 몰고 온 훈풍에 AI 반도체·서버 기업들의 주가도 덩달아 크게 올랐다. 엔비디아 주가는 전장보다 4.0% 오른 822.79달러에 마감했으며, 종가 기준으로 이 회사의 시총은 2조569억7500만달러(약 2748조원)를 기록했다. 엔비디아 시총은 지난 23일 장중 2조달러를 넘어섰다가 종가 기준으로 내려간 바 있는데, 이후 일주일 만에 종가 기준 최초로 2조달러를 돌파했다. 시총 순위는 마이크로소프트와 애플에 이어 3위다.
엔비디아 칩으로 서버를 만드는 또 다른 기업 슈퍼마이크로 컴퓨터의 주가도 이날 4.5% 상승했다. AI 랠리를 타고 있는 다른 반도체 기업 브로드컴과 마벨 테크놀로지도 각각 7.6%, 8.3% 올랐다. 엔비디아의 경쟁사인 AMD 주가도 5.3% 상승했다.
